Definition: Attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) in French. A qualification issued by the Quebec government after successful completion of a training program aimed at improving skills or specialization in a given trade. To enrol, the applicant must have a Diploma of Vocational Education
[Diplôme d’études professionnelles (DEP)] or be working in a trade in connection with a program of studies. Programs are offered by school boards, at the secondary school level, in institutions known as vocational centres, or
centres de formation.
